Princes Trust Awards – Power Trac

Swallow Evacuation Mobility Products recently supplied one of its Power Tracs Units for a recipient at the Princes Trust “Celebrate Success Awards” at the Odeon Cinema Leicester Square. The RBS winner Mark Livsey had developed muscular Dystrophy at the age of 18. The problem that Mark faced was when he had to receive his award, as he struggled to climb stairs and also at the function after the awards ceremony as this also had access problems for disabled in terms of stairs.

Swallow were able to provide a dignified solution by providing a Power Trac unit to take him up and down the stairs. Both Venues highlight access problems which are still being faced today, but more importantly the evacuation from both sites would have been a real problem except with assistance of the fire services.
